Market Status of Agricultural Films in China

In 2005, the total industrial output value of agricultural film production and supply enterprises increased by 29% over the previous year. The cumulative number of enterprise units was 1,223, and the accumulated product sales revenue for the year increased by 25.89% over the same period of the previous year.
In the first half of 2006, the cumulative industrial output value of agricultural film production and supply enterprises increased by 17.31% over the same period of the previous year. The cumulative number of enterprise units was 1,299, and the accumulated product sales revenue increased by 22.11% over the same period of the previous year. Overall, agricultural film production and supply companies are in good operating condition.
China's agricultural film production accounts for about 20% of the total output of plastic products, which is a relatively rapid increase in output of plastic products. In theory, many synthetic resins are likely to form a film, but they are economically meaningful, and they are commercially available in large quantities, such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), and polyethylene terephthalate. Resins such as ester (PET), polystyrene (PS), ethylene/vinyl acetate (EVA), and polyamide (PA). If a suitable plastic auxiliaries are added to the resin matrix, various functional films can be prepared. The production methods in the agricultural film industry include calendering method and extrusion method, wherein the extrusion method is further divided into extrusion blown film, extrusion casting, extrusion stretching (also called secondary molding), etc. Many, especially for the processing of polyolefin films, and the calendering method is mainly used for the production of some polyvinyl chloride films.
